ADEQ requires that when homeowners wish to dispose of "slash" (brush trimmings, pine needles, weeds and such) by ways of burning, they must attain a permit from the local jurisdiction and adhere to certain rules.
Burning for means of removal of "slash" material is permitted when there are no fire restrictions, the property owner obtains a permit from us and burns within the times allotted.
Annual permits can be filled out and submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org the form along with the rules can be found below. You may also file one in person at the main station in Star Valley.
There is no cost for the permit. A local permit must accompany your state permit that will allow the burning for up to one week increments. The local permit can be issued in person or over the phone. *If you leave a message, your permit isn't good until we call you back.
